Who we are

Scout is a free web app from Groundside (Australia). It helps you find board games, card games and collectibles in Australian shops. Contact: jayd_perth@hotmail.com. Site: https://scout.groundside.app.

What we collect

• If you browse without an account: suburb, search and watch-list stay in your browser. We do not need your name or email.
• If you sign in: name and email from Google, X, or the address you type. We store a session cookie so you stay signed in.
• If you list a second-hand copy: title, price, suburb, condition, and the messages you send or receive about that copy. Other members can see the listing, not your email.
• If you ask to be emailed: we use the address on your account to tell you someone wants the copy.

What we do not collect

No payment details — Scout is free and has no ads. We do not sell lists. We do not use your data to advertise for other companies. Shop prices we show come from public shop pages or a typical shelf estimate; those shops have their own policies.

Who else sees data

• Google or X, if you choose that sign-in.
• Our host (the servers that run the site).
• Other Scout members, only the listing and chat you chose to post.

How long we keep it

Account, listings and messages stay until you delete them or ask us to. Browser watch-lists live on your device until you clear site data. You can delete everything yourself at scout.groundside.app/delete-account, or email jayd_perth@hotmail.com.

Safety

Signed-in members can report a listing, conversation or person, and block someone. Blocked members cannot message you, and their copies are hidden. Reports are stored for Groundside to review. Email jayd_perth@hotmail.com if you need a listing taken down quickly.

Children

Scout is a family tool, not a service aimed at children under 13. Please do not create an account for a child that young.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will date the new version here.
